What it is: A lightweight, super easy to install, soft-touch dog crate that VOLUNTARY stays in the crate. This is a small portable cozy dog cave. Our dog loves his cage at home and this was a travel version of their small secure dog shelter. If the door was unlocked, she could go in and out as she pleased. We also used it to keep her away from other people for a while. What isn't: It's not durable, it's not designed to carry a dog or hold a dog for a long time. This is a backpack-like soft canvas, including the bottom, with mesh doors and windows. When they say it's for a cage trained dog, they mean it. This will not include a dog chewing, scratching, jumping or otherwise trying to get free. It literally takes seconds to install and remove. Put it on the ground, turn it over, and then connect the metal bars of the frame on both sides. Did. A small, weak person (me) can lift it with one hand. Easily slides in or out of the included carry case. The cage itself also has carrying handles (but remember the cage cannot be moved with the dog inside). A bag isn't essential, but the folding box has a few protruding straps and flaps that can snag other luggage. Our dog's cage is 42 inches tall and he can almost stretch out in it. We got this in a 36 inch size and it was big enough for a quick delivery. Our pup loves it cozy so we covered the mesh roof with a blanket. The frame is not strong enough to support anything heavy. The included fleece bed is basic but ok. Outside there are several patch zip pockets for storage. The pockets can be folded and do not interfere.
