I ordered Bialetti Musa from a different seller (Bradshaw International) than Bialetti and I can only assume I received a fake. The first thing I noticed was that the pot was too big to fit in the box it was in and had a hole punched in the top because of it. I tried to disassemble and assemble it according to the instructions but the top and bottom didn't match like the photo. No matter how hard I turned, there was a significant gap. The next thing I noticed was the awful smell of the product; I can only describe it as mildew mixed with mothballs and maybe a faint dead animal smell. Nice. I figured I'd go ahead anyway, wash up with soap and water, and make three cups (it didn't specify if they were cups or pots, so I made three pots just to be safe) of coffee to get rid of the smell. No improvement. I also noticed that quite a bit of water stayed on the bottom no matter how long I left it, even if I poured a small amount at first. Okay, I'll just let it go now and get my daily cup from the coffee shop. Fast forward two hours and notice that rust has already formed on both the top and bottom. Stainless steel to be sure (said sarcasm). I think I was wrong to trust the Bialetti name - if I'm going to buy junk, I'll just roll the dice at another vendor. I was lucky that thing didn't explode. It's like a Bialetti man pointing the finger at me - it seems appropriate.
