Poor metal quality, questionable design

Surprised that it has so many good reviews (reason I bought it). This was necessary as my new kitchen doesn't have a gas stove, so I bought an induction stove and like to cook with it; Therefore, you cannot use the old and faithful grandmother's aluminum. Less than two months old but after returning the window when used about twice a day it should already be discarded. Poor Metal Quality: After about a month I noticed a rim on the inside of the water tank. Although it was only coffee that…

Better than the original

Overall this pot is better than the original aluminum model. No corrosion. Better heat control. The preheating method is also quicker: heat a pond with hot tap water, bring water to a boil in a kettle (e.g.); Fill the bowl and mount the pot using a towel or oven mitt to hold the very hot bowl. Set the timer for 4 minutes and turn on the stove at maximum power. Once you see the coffee rising, turn the heat down to low. It should end around the 4th minute. This is slightly quicker than the…

Not comparable to the alu original, not recommended for gas stoves

I have been using the alu version of the Bialetti Moka Express for many years. However, due to recent research on the use of aluminum utensils and the possibility of metal leaching into coffee, I decided to try their stainless steel version. Reviews seemed to suggest it was about as good, and while it's labeled for induction hobs, it should have worked well on gas hobs as well. Well, in my experience, this is far from the case. I've done many tests between 2 and Musa that just don't work. For…

Poor design, rust, horrible smell

I ordered Bialetti Musa from a different seller (Bradshaw International) than Bialetti and I can only assume I received a fake. The first thing I noticed was that the pot was too big to fit in the box it was in and had a hole punched in the top because of it. I tried to disassemble and assemble it according to the instructions but the top and bottom didn't match like the photo. No matter how hard I turned, there was a significant gap. The next thing I noticed was the awful smell of the product;

Poor quality and workmanship.

Now I bought 2 of these because I sent back first and then sent back the second (needs to brew coffee 3 times to empty the coffee pot before actually brewing coffee to drink) I left it open standing by the sink while I washed other dishes, and the water spilled onto the floor as my wet hands grabbed other items of laundry. He lay in a pool of water for about an hour, was born, and left a trail. I have stainless steel mixing bowls, a Oneida 18/10 stainless steel cutlery set, 18/10 stainless…

Great moka pot and steps for the perfect moka espresso!

trying to kick my Starbucks habit I bought this and a Kuissential milk frother. From all the reviews of several mocha pots, I chose the Bialetti stainless steel over aluminum. This particular pot is very elegant and attractive and looks great on our kitchen island behind the stove. More importantly, the Moka Pot works GREAT! I wanted to make sure I could make the best tasting espresso out of the pot, so I did quite a bit of research online to learn "how to make the perfect moka espresso". The…
