No instructions!

I have had the heat press for about 3 weeks now and have used it several times. The first thing I will tell you about this press is that there are absolutely ZERO instructions and since I have NEVER owned a heat press in my life I didn't know where to start. I was concerned that the press was set for Celsius and not Fahrenheit, I was so angry when I first plugged it in because all it could do was pee on me. No matter how many times I pushed the buttons, I couldn't figure out how the damn thing worked. I ended up turning it off and switching to YouTube. I was hopefully looking for someone who bought the same press I did when I made the tutorial video. Okay I guess no one who bought this particular heat press has made a youtube video yet, or maybe I just couldn't find it. In any case, I was determined to find out. Maybe this review will help you when you get your heat press and want to start pulling your hair too. When I unpacked my heat press, it was closed. plug in and off you go. NOT CORRECT. Open the heat press. They are not designed to be heated to closed jacket temperatures. If you open it, it will also prevent that terrible scream. To warm up, press any temperature you need, press the "Temp" button, use the arrows to set a higher or lower temperature. Once you have reached the temperature you are happy with, press the "Temp" button again to actually save the temperature. Your heat press will now ramp up to this temperature once it is ready to use. To set the time you want your press to close, press the "Time" button to set the time and press "Time" again. *Please note that different materials have different temperatures and times for which items need to be pressed* When I unpacked my heat press I also thought it was broken or had some kind of locking knob and I couldn't open it. Well just pull the handle very well and it goes up, there's a classy deal at the top of the press that you can twist and adjust where it's not that difficult to open because you want your press to be yours htv very well adjusted, you want to be able to open it again when there really is something in it, and that's quite difficult when the plate is hot. Also, I found out that you have to do preburn. Heat the heat press to about 400 degrees. I made mine in half an hour but I read you can do it in just 10 minutes. This will help eliminate odors and prevent them from sticking to your clothes, as well as burn off any chemicals that may have been applied to the burner. In general I like my abs, I think I want to quit my job. So now I can tinker all day long lol. That tummy isn't easy, so for your sake I hope you have room for it in an area that doesn't require moving it in a heap. I hope this helps at least one person because as upset as I was I wanted to send it back. Edited 12/8/19 I have had this heat press for a long time and I have to say I am so pleased with this press after figuring out how to use it. One of the problems I had with those abs was that I kept burning my upper arms in the abs. 😬 I finally realized I need to step it up. So I found a moveable crafting table and it's about chest level, I can see the whole backside through my abs :) no more burned fingers :)
