These lanterns hung on our 16 foot x 16 foot screened porch. I strung the wire 3/16 and then attached the garlands to the wire with zip ties. This allowed me to use 20 bulbs (by simply eliminating unnecessary bulbs and hiding extra wires at the ends) that fit the space perfectly. These lights use thicker wire (similar to lamp cord) than replacement lights, which used wires similar to Christmas lights. These lights are similar to those you see in restaurants that are professionally installed. One bulb arrived broken but that wasn't a problem as I only installed 20 bulbs. Very pleased with the quality and design of these lights which make for a very attractive, professional looking installation.
