I once had a similar watch. Instead of a smooth start and a smooth fade to light like I've had with previous watches, this one goes from completely dark to "fairly bright" in a split second, and then slowly gets even brighter. I'm happy with that, but would have liked a little more softness in the light at the start of the wake up cycle. I would also have preferred fewer options and easier customization of the features I need at any given time. Although I like it as it's much preferable to an audible alarm.
