Review on 🎧 Audio-Technica ATH-WP900 Over-Ear High-Resolution Headphones, Flame Maple/Black - Immerse in Exceptional Audio Quality by Christine Zuniga

There are better and cheaper headphones

Too bright with a lot of noise. The high frequencies on them can be piercing, and every time someone makes an "s" sound, it's like sandpaper in their ears. It's incredibly distracting and can strain your ears if you listen to them after an hour or so. Their bass is punchier than the Audio-Technicas, but still not powerful enough for bassheads. The middle is there but not impressive. Too often when you listen to them, the music seems to fall apart into separate sounds, but any false sounds are emphasized so you end up focusing on weird things like people breathing, or some random high frequencies in the background that aren't front and should be behind. Center. The soundstage is great, spacious with great separation and probably the best I've heard up close, but that's the only positive point in my opinion. They sound good if you tweak them heavily with the EQ (e.g. boost the bass and roll off the treble). but not really any better than headphones in the $200-$300 price range like the V-Moda Crossfades or AT's own m50, so I ended up returning them. I couldn't justify the cost, and I didn't want to be tied down to using a DAC with EQ settings just to be heard. They also feel incredibly cheap for $650 headphones. They are made entirely of plastic, no metal. This makes them feather light, which is great to wear, but they also feel like they'll break easily if you accidentally mishandle them. They also come with no accessories except for a cheap velvet pouch. Made for portability, the $650 headphones should at least come with a carrying case, but they only come with a case and 2 chords. Buy different headphones for different music. If so, then you can buy them to listen to classical music, folk artists, and anything else in the high end. However, they are terrible, like all other headphones.
