Review on Elaine Karen COLLECTION Tablecloth Protector by Richard Alemayehu

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good napkin for everyday use and under bed linen.

Bought this so my friends wouldn't ruin my vintage table (fine vintage finish) with food and drink when I have a game night. It's not a super trendy tablecloth, but it's strong enough not to tear easily. The finished edge is also pleasant to the touch. If you're looking for something quirky to have on your desk all the time, it's a bit rustic, and while it's not flimsy, it's not heavy vinyl. However, if you just want a good water-resistant tablecloth that you can slip on and off for games and more, this tablecloth seems to work. I don't feel like tearing it up by using it or moving it around. I put in a more decorative fabric for insulation around hot drinks and plates. Any fabric that doesn't have a flannel or padded lining will need that extra layer if your table is antique/vintage/fussy. Since this transparent tablecloth is not too thick and heavy, it also looks good under your favorite decorative tablecloth. Use for a more formal dinner. It won't interfere with the fall of your formal linens, but it will protect the table from any spills. Oh! Something else. Please note the form when ordering. A "round" shawl is a large circle. The "elongated" fabric is a rectangle. The 'oval' tablecloth is *very* rounded at the corners and is suitable for oval tables or round tables with leaves added in the middle (making them oval tables). If you have a round table (without leaves), an oblong tablecloth will be short on two sides, long on the other two, and have long ends at the corners. An oval tablecloth on a round table is short on both sides. If you have a rectangular table, the oval tablecloth will be very short at the corners of your table and may not cover it completely. If you have an oval table, an oblong tablecloth will have very long spikes where the corners of the tablecloth will hang down. Make sure you get the right fabric for the required coverage and shape of your table.

Pros
  • CLEAN, CLEAN AND EASY TO MAINTAIN. The best thing about this protective tablecloth is that it can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or sponge. The tablecloth is water and dirt repellent and therefore very comfortable.
Cons
