Review on Leather Strap Strip Blank Cognac by Amy Williams

I've been searching Amazon for belt blanks for leather projects. I loved it because the color was exactly what I was looking for, a rich brown, not too dark not too light. The surface was soft, the skin stretched a little which was the first indication that it wasn't quite that was what i was looking for. I wet the skin to cut out the design with my rotary knife and found that maintaining decent shading was going to be difficult with the bevel punch. Unfortunately I bought two hoping the leather would be a good choice for my project because the color was accurate, the leather was too soft to withstand the cutting and stamping the way I would have liked. If you're looking for something different to cut and stamp, if you're looking for a soft, smooth leather strap with some stretch, this is your product.
