Edited 01/2020 for a 3 year follow up: this is still without a doubt the best money I've spent on a duvet. Although I occasionally change the linens for some seasonal changes (now I use flannel because it's COLD here in Massachusetts!), the comforter has been washed dozens of times with no issues. It still looks great, it still has all the buttons, all the internal drawstrings to attach the lining. Last year I bought a second duvet and sheets for my son's room. Wanted something that could take a beating and still be presentable (kids are 3.5 years old so washing and wearing them is important). Just took it out of the wash today and it still looks as beautiful as ever. I still highly recommend it. the patterns and colors of the cotton comforters and sheets I had at the time. In case you're wondering, this replaced the Echo Jaiper cotton kit. A cute but very bright pattern that I loved in my old house with mustard gold walls in the bedroom. Here in my new apartment, with my denim-painted bedroom, canary yellow and ketchup red did little except give me a headache. Enter the idea of remodeling the bed. I've been looking for bigger, better known, and extremely expensive brands for years now and I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. $500 for the set I wanted wouldn't be great if I didn't have two dogs and a toddler, but knowing that even with perfect care the set can be damaged? Couldn't. So I kept looking and found this. And wow. For real. I was expecting disappointment, but this duvet and sheet set is truly the best deal I've found in a long, long time. They were washed and dried about 10 times and became soft. The only downside to the dryer is that it lint like you've never seen it before! Since you know this from other reviews, check the drying cycle a few times and clean the trap as it dries the first four washes. Seems like a lot, but if that means getting linens for a third of the price I'm sure I'll clean the dryer vent a few more times.
