I bought three. First I gave one star. Elegoo sent me three more boards at their own expense. I first had the same problem while downloading the AVRDUDE program. Then I noticed the same phenomenon with older boards that I had previously used for months with no problems. The Arduino IDE is open source and free, but is constantly updated and some versions have their own quarks. I've found these Elegoo boards to work great when doing the same thing I had to do to get my famous boards to accept the download. Even if the "Port" setting in the "Tools" menu says that the board is connected to a COM port, click on it anyway. For some strange reason this fixes the problem and without changing anything the program loads and the board works as it should. I think the original issue that caused me to return the boards for a refund was an Arduino IDE issue.
