I tested this with the charger test app and it increased the charging current by 60% compared to the standard port with USB cables. This is a significant improvement in load time. I used it with my car's wireless phone charger and it also showed a 60% improvement. It is said to deliver up to 1.5 amps at 12 volts. I saw 1.1 amps but my phone was already 60% charged so I'm guessing I should be seeing around 1.5 amps when it's empty. This will give you the 18 watts it should give you. The reason I gave it 4 stars was because the advertised 36W is misleading. In their FAQ, they state that each plug individually supplies 18 watts, but also note that with two plugs connected, the total output is still only 18 watts. You can use either slot, but each phone will charge a little slower.
