Review on ⚡️ MIOPS Smart Standalone Camera and Flash Trigger for Sony Cameras: Smartphone Controllable with S2 Cable by John Langdon

I really like this smart trigger. There are literally endless uses for it. It will take some time to get used to using it and to learn all the different features. I really like using it to create long repeating frames, but it can do so much more. There's a sensor to detect lightning, as well as a laser monitor that triggers the camera to take a picture when the laser beam is broken. You can even set up a custom scene where an exposure is triggered after certain criteria are met. There are a lot of cables included in the box so I recommend using a zip tie to keep them all in one place when not in use. It would be nice if it came with its own case for protection. There is a shutter release cable for connecting to the camera, a power cable for charging, and a flash sync cable. I used an external flash but didn't have much luck syncing it to my photo, but it works. I would say the downside for me is that it was macro USB while everything else seems to be micro USB so now I have to make sure I travel with an extra cable just to charge it. It lasts quite a long time and I've found that you can change it during use. The hot shoe fits as expected and it's nice to be able to pick it up and get it out of the way, but still accessible. There is also an app that is very helpful during setup. The buttons are nice because sometimes I'm in a hurry, but when I can I use the app to set them up or even as a remote trigger. The screen on it does a good job, but it's a very basic interface. There is a slot on the back for removing the battery if you need to replace it or need an extra battery. If you need assistance they are very helpful and quick to email back and forth. If you're looking for tutorials and guides, there are a few videos, but you'll feel a little on your own there. All in all a great product and I am very happy with my purchase.
