A good meter is best for electrical testing

This is a good meter. It appears to be built just as well as my old HD Beckman DMM and it was the best build quality. Better than the F brand in my opinion. Mine came with a plastic case, a set of wires and an extra negative wire that has an alligator clip. This is handy because I can use it to test in the air. Simply secure one wire, press the other wire against the positive wire with one hand, hold the meter with the other and press the button. I thought I'd use the lock feature more often than I do now, but it's actually easier to just hold down the button. This allows you to hold the wire and release the test button, which automatically de-energizes the wires. Just keeping the wires hot can check, but good and long wires will have enough capacitance to hold the charge on the lines and give you an electric shock. In general very satisfied. If you don't need more than 2000 MΞ© per kV, this is a very good deal. No battery drain issues and you don't know what you would do as the master switch seems to cut power to everything.

  • Easy to read control panel
