I bought this because the Asus ROG STRIX Z-490-A had a dedicated PCIe-3 4x slot. Very easy to install. Windows 10 Pro recognized it and installed the drivers. I connected it to the eSATA CoolGear's internal and external 4-port PCI ports to simultaneously power external backup hard drives that I purchased. I'm getting transfer rates in excess of 1 Gbps. Backup is now 2-3 times faster. The fact that the card has six SATA III 6Gb/s outputs gives it enough capacity to run additional hardware. Contains all necessary cables.
