My mum (84) has been complaining for weeks that she needs a small drill/screwdriver for various projects. The 18-volt drills she had in her workshop were too bulky and unwieldy. I have an earlier version of this Ryobi screwdriver that I love and my husband often asks to use it. This version is even better as the bits slide in and out easily without the "collar" moving which mother confuses with other drill bits. Combined with a set of quick release bits (small drill bits and screws) this made the perfect Labor Day gift for mom. She talked about it for days, especially since I borrowed it to replace all the sockets and switches in her kitchen the day after delivery. Mom loves that it's easy to hold and yet has everything you need for small projects. Not for heavy drilling work in wood or metal, but great for turning screws. The battery lasts quite a long time, but depends on the intensity of use.
