Great for the mountains

I live high in the mountains and during a good winter you can usually expect a ferocious blizzard, sometimes and definitely lots of snow and very cold weather. Late summer and fall are spent collecting firewood in preparation for winter conditions. Add to that the fact that we are the unique breed of people who really enjoy camping in tents in these weather conditions and the need for a stove like this can become quite obvious. I also have a "she-shed" in the back and I usually close it during the winter months because we don't have a good heat source and heaters just don't help. With this stove, I plan to spend time there in the winter. I was a little surprised when I received it. All of the product's dimensions appear to be correct, 11.4 x 8 x 8.7 inches, but I was still impressed by how small it is, which is absolutely perfect for what we need. I realized that I bought a small stove, but for some reason I made it bigger. only 22 pounds, it is quite compact and as said can be carried like a suitcase. Now that I've received it, I can think of other uses for it. Usually every winter there is a time when we have a power outage. In addition to being an obvious source of heat, it can also be used for cooking, as it is equipped with a hob with side shelves on which you can place food trays, etc. to dry small items such as gloves, hats, socks, etc. The oven becomes complete with a stove body, 5 chimneys, an elbow pipe, a poker, a plate, 2 handles, 2 side shelves, an ash pan, 4 supplied legs and a pipe foot. Installation was easy and I was able to assemble it without any problems. Be sure to let it cool completely when disassembling. I would still wear gloves to be on the safe side. The stove itself radiates a lot of heat. It may be tiny, but don't let that fool you. If you're not on top, it can even give off too much heat, making the room sweaty and stuffy. You need to cut the logs smaller than usual for a typical wood-burning fireplace, and as you've probably guessed, it doesn't hold a ton of wood. Make sure you have an ax or chainsaw handy to cut the pieces of wood to size. The oven itself is very solid and although I've only used it once to test it I don't see any signs of sagging or thinning. I am very happy with this oven and have found many other uses for it over time.
