To make it clear that I understand what I am writing about, I will only say that I have always worked with 85s from kenon, from the beginning of the first version and then the second. This is a lens that I considered as the best of mine, and I have almost the entire L line. I can afford to buy a lens for trial, work and if I sell anything, I do this very often and thus worked with a large number of lenses. So that's actually what I'll say about sigma - it tears 85 1.2 canon to shreds, and this is not just surprisingly impossible, but . 1 - sharpness starting from 1.4 is ideal, by the way, in canon it starts somewhere with f2, but it’s better to set f2.2 to be sure (I will compare canon and further) 2 - autofocus - it is much faster and, oddly enough, but also more accurate. the fact is that when working with 85mm, you work with a small depth of field and it becomes important to be able to focus correctly and understand where your sharpness is now, the slightest shift of a model or photographer and everything is back or front, but if you have been working with this focal length for years, then you have like and my jaw will drop, he never smears at all, where canon gave 20%, marriage and it was just the norm, he gives 2%, the follower works fine, it doesn’t matter to him indoors or outdoors, I’m very impressed. 3 - minimum focusing distance - it focuses closer to 10 cm, which is very good. 4 - it is much cheaper than Canon - also know + when several tens of thousands remain with you. This listed where he specifically dealt with 85 canon, while, as I wrote at the beginning of 85 1.2 canon, this is a cult lens, a bokeh monster, and a masterpiece of lens building, but sigma is definitely no worse.
