The SC679K is a great vacuum cleaner. works very well, sucks strong. Parts are cheap and readily available to fix anything that breaks or wears out on these vacuums. Lots of YouTube videos on these things, from assembly to replacing motors and whatnot. These are disposable vacs from Wal-Mart Bissel and the like that you buy, use, break or wear out and then throw in the trash after 3 years. You can literally buy ANY part of any of these 679 series vacuum cleaners piece by piece. I encourage you to look for parts for cheap Sharks, Bissels, all-plastic vacuums, etc. To sum it up, these things work, they work well, they've been around for over 30 years and with good reason. Do a little research to confirm my information. Don't keep buying those cheap plastic vacuum cleaners that can't be repaired. Use one of these and fix it on the go instead of buying and throwing it away every 3-5 years. You can do without the bag as it comes with a shaker bag OR do what I did and a red zippered fabric conversion bag to hold the paper. F&G bags. Hope this helps some of you.
