Review on Intellitec LPL822 Mini Brush Timer by Jevon Sterling

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not suitable for water!

I own a licensed family day care center and I NEED to make sure the kids wash their hands long enough. I saw this product and thought it would be great for us! However, if you have children who press the button BEFORE the water hits their hands, there is no guarantee that they will wash long enough (some children take 10-20 seconds to go from pressing the button to soap and water so I asked them to do "water, soap, button" and then water came in and it stopped.I took it off, took out the batteries and put it in a bag of rice for a day and it worked again. BUT WHAT A PAIN! two plastic bags and seal them with wide transparent tape. It lasts much longer, but eventually stops (not because the batteries die, but because of moisture)! With our state rating system for kindergartens, it is important to that children wash their hands in the right amount of time, so I buy the second one.So I'm not without a timer for the day while he's sitting in rice.Of course I wish they had waterproofed it!
