First a quick note on this product I LOVE it. It's the perfect size for a fridge door, it makes a cold drink with such an amazing taste, and the pitcher even pours without spilling! I'm tempted to buy another one to use for iced tea (cold brew style) because finding a pitcher that pours without dripping can be really difficult. I was looking for a size that would fit on the door, a kind that would make a cold drink with little or no leftovers, be easy to use, easy to clean, and affordable. This one hit all those points and really well. A rubber funnel and measuring spoon are extra bonuses that I use all the time. The picture is next to my knife block so you can compare sizes and the coffee filter is in. Second, here are my notes on cold brew (and Gator makes great iced coffee!). I've been drinking more coffee lately for a variety of reasons. , but I try to drink it without my usual tons of sugar and cream because I liked it sweet and creamy and not bitter, which black coffee has always struck me as. As summer approached, I switched to iced coffee (make in a French press, then chill and drink over ice) and found I still need a fair amount of heavy cream, but I don't really miss the sugar. This piqued my interest in all of these cold beers, so I did a little research and settled on Gator for the reasons above. Wow. All the studies told me it would have lower acidity, no bitterness, and great flavor, but I was amazed at how absolutely true it all was! My first serving was just overnight, 3 scoops (including scoops) of coarsely ground coffee. It was a bit light but WOW! I could taste the subtlety of coffee that I had never tasted before! After a few more tries I settled on 4 scoops of beans (measure beans only, not ground beans), coarsely ground, then 8-12 hours. Ideal. Rich. Super, super smooth. The flavors still emerge. Sometimes I add some milk, but more often I prefer it without milk because the flavors are so interesting and complex! In summary, the cold drink amazed me, it mostly replaces my wonderful teas. And the Coffee Gator does a great job of preparing this simple dish, with a simple cleanup and a cup of coffee with flavors you may not have tasted before.
