We haven't seen my crab in literally a year. He really is a recluse. Today we took him out, cleaned his aquarium and put some next to him just to see what he's doing. Well, let me tell you, we have a HUGE purple crab, and he made it to town on this thing! We've never seen him come out of his shell like this since we've had him! I should also add that he NEVER eats his crab food. I really don't know how he survived this long. This item is amazing and smells really good!
