Let me say up front that I was really excited about the benefits of a magnetic oil drain plug. However, this cork is complete nonsense. This thing is the cheapest, softest metal I've ever seen in an auto part. After the second oil change, the thread on this screw is completely cut off. I didn't notice it until the third oil change after installation. Why is that important? Because at some point between the second and third oil changes, this thing deteriorated to the point where my car was leaking oil like a strainer while driving. This caused the engine to run with almost no lubrication and ended up having problems with the crankshaft position sensor because the engine ran very rough. Even if this thing were made from solid American steel instead of the cheap scrap Chinese aluminum it's made of, it has serious design flaws. First, the gap between the head and the thread is huge. This means you will find it very difficult to attach the washer to ensure a tight fit. Second, this thing has a ridiculously stupid head size, meaning the wrench or socket you use on a standard oil drain plug won't fit. So unless you're a mechanic with a garage full of tools, you probably need to go out and buy the socket or wrench needed to take the damn thing off. can be issued for this. I'm sick of them withholding my money on such a crappy product that almost caused serious damage to my car and put my family in danger.
