Review on πŸ› οΈ Must-Have Pink Compact Metric Auto Tool Set for Car Emergency and Travel Needs - APOLLO TOOLS 56 Piece DT9775 by Douglas Holla

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A decent basic tool set that doubles as a storage case.

I'm hardly handy and just wanted to keep the basic tools in the car for the sake of the tools themselves. I make my own oil, brakes, rotors, headlights, fluids and other basic maintenance. Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying this tool kit for a Japanese made car. Most of the car's interior and lighting is assembled without tools, but I couldn't even remove the engine cover with this kit (it took me 10mm). The bits are SAE compliant so I ended up replacing a few SAE bits with free metric bits when a good fit was required. Usually everything stays in place with Velcro and/or stretch nylon, although there's just too much room that could be better. used due to construction. And cable ties take up too much space. The beauty of a zippered bag, however, is the freedom to store random little things like lightbulb grease, tweezers, a box cutter, a small flashlight, band-aids, gloves or whatever, and they won't fall out or get crushed. . You couldn't do it in a solid molded case. The sleeve itself is just 2 pieces of thick cardboard in a nylon sleeve. Nothing special considering the low price. You can probably just replace the body with an old catcher to get even more space. To improve this set I would wish it had a small mesh pocket compartment to store bits and pieces to make bit removal easier, at least 1 torque wrench extension and of course that it is metric :(I don't see the metric equivalent of this tool kit and the price it's still a good deal the parts are high quality and shiny.
