Buckles and eyelets on the snaffles
I was so excited when I discovered this side cable. I'm concerned about the side pull of the rope coming loose and figured this would be the perfect hybrid. And it would be perfect if he had another strap under his jaw to hold it in place. It is well made and appears to be a quality product from Weaver. Unfortunately, when I put it on my horse and adjusted it, the buckles were exactly parallel to his eyes. If he had slipped at all, the buckles would have caught him in the eye. See photo. Seems to be a great design except for this issue which is why I sent it back. Sad.
