Rugged Helmet

This auto-darkening mask looks great. Has four dimming sensors, switching speed 1/10000. The helmet is of solid construction so it is expected to last, however it is a bit heavy but as you use it your head will adjust to the weight. The filter assembly seems solid and well built and I think this has added weight to the helmet. I have used it and am satisfied with its performance. I bought an Antra helmet about a year ago and it stopped working and I only used it occasionally so I was very disappointed with Antra. Based on the Jackson helmet's overall design and the reviews I've read, I expect it to perform well. Once you start using these auto-darkening helmets, you won't want to go back to traditional helmets, although it's always good to have one on hand. Another observation with the Jackson helmet is that the weld/grind mode buttons are located on the underside of the helmet, making it a little awkward to quickly switch from weld to grind and vice versa.

Pros
  • DIGITAL CONTROLS: Available in a range of shades from 9 to 13, this helmet features convenient digital controls for adjusting sensitivity and delay for different tasks and durations. This allows welders improved visibility and color recognition.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly.
