Review on Phosban Filter Media Reactor by Two Little Fishies by Sylvia Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I wish I knew.

Last week I installed the media editor Two Little Fishies. For what I need, use De*Nitrate at less than 50 gallons per hour. which is slower than Canister or HOB seems to do well. water at the entrance. outlet water. No leaks, noise or drama. I know it will be at least 30 or 45 days before I see any noticeable change in nitrate levels. I did a little pre-purchase reading and settled on the Two Little Fishies device because I was able to get the pump and tubing that I wanted. I was planning on putting the reactor in a closet, so I needed a pump that could lift the elevator back up. This 400 GPH device appeared to be the best bang for the buck. https://www.amazon.com/FREESEA-Submersible-Fountain-Hydroponics-aquaponic/dp/B078M6HNC2. I found ½" ID black vinyl tubing here at Revain, but any ½" tubing will do. When I first started this I figured a back mount would work better/easier, that's all. I have about 19 feet of black vinyl tubing left over. I would like to know that the ball valve and clamps come with the reactor. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I bought both the valve and the set of small clamps that were offered to me for a million each (which ended up not working properly), so I ended up spending $26 more than I should have. I don't mind having a spare ball valve, but the little clamps are useless. However, I would not put on a mask and go to Kolya to return it. I just wish the seller what comes or doesn't come with the reactor. I have found that small zip ties make the clamps much better and stronger. I also recommend anyone planning to hang the reactor from the back also purchase the Two Little Fishies Extension Kit. https://www.amazon.com/Two-Little-Fishies-PhosBan-Extension/dp/B00176CM2A. This will make the installation cleaner. I will order another one for the weekend.
