As I don't have a roof rack, the installation was a bit confusing at first. You'll need to pull the molding out so you can slot the straps into the frame. There are a couple of extra straps if you don't have a roof rack so we had to attach them to one of the 4 straps on the door. As we rode, we could hear the vibration and flapping of the remaining belt (which we tried to wrap around the main belt as many times as possible). Overall it's a great product, except that the concept of using it without a roof rack hasn't been implemented.
