My garage door opens into a garage that is 4 inches below the floor level. This combined with the heavier door meant that a paint can or similar item had to be used to hold it open. After 2 years I finally decided to buy something - a magnetic doorstop. Installation would be easy and quick if the instructions for the shorter part (Part B) were clearer. He will ask you to insert a flat head screwdriver and twist. Well, there are three holes, and it doesn't say anything about sticking the object into the side panel to unscrew it. I didn't even know if it was going to be threaded or some kind of plate. To save someone some time I am uploading some photos to show the inside of part B. The magnet is pretty strong. This will probably work for most doors. As for me, I have to pull the door to open it. I can follow another reviewer's comment and replace the magnet (in Part B, btw) with something lighter. Just so you know, save my hands.
