Revainrating 3 out of 5

A normal product, but they wanted more for the money.

Let everyone decide for himself how convenient and functional BIOS from MSI is. But the fact that in the BIOS I can’t manually fix the voltage of the memory and CPU, it just amazes me! I put 1.3 Volts on the CPU - the mother throws 60mVolt. I put 1.34 Volts for memory - another 20 mV is added. At the same time, for everyone, with different values \u200b\u200bthat I set - the value that the mother puts on is different. What the hell?! Overclocking on this mother brought me back to the zero years. When, with 1 incorrectly set value, it does not return the default settings on its own and continues to hang, as a result of which you have to turn off the power and clamp the CMOS jumper. The board has a function in which the board tries several times to start with the set parameters and then resets the settings to default. It only works 1 time out of 10! Yes, on the GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P FX (rev. 2.1) board, which is already 5 years old and with a miserable BIOS from Gigabyte, I have never seen such problems. MSI what the hell? Maybe I didn't understand something? Wait for the BIOS version to be released, where will they fix it all? Please let me know if I'm wrong somewhere. I am adding. After the release of the May, it seems, BIOS for the 4000 and 5000 series processors, the board finally began to work as it should. Overclocking began to work as it should, artifacts from overclocking the integrated graphics disappeared, the set voltage began to correspond to the actual one. Now it is quite a suitable motherboard. It hasn't even been a year.

Pros
  • The price of 5900 + features make the board very competitive. Ability to flash BIOS for ZEN 3 processors. Works with ZEN 2 out of the box.
Cons
  • BIOS. Textolite brown, not black.

Has some pros Cooling on the power supply, reinforced video slot Has some cons There is no bolt under m2 in the kit. Nothing is screwed into the m2 itself either. Where can I look for it now?
