Excellent slicer. It's durable and the blades are solid, unlike the flimsy ones you buy at the big store. I don't understand the complaints about cleanliness. If you rinse it immediately after use, it's so easy to clean, especially in the dishwasher! The egg may be sticky. So if you leave it out, the few pieces that might be left are likely to get stuck. Please note: the slices will not be the same size, but the slices are the same. I'm glad I spent the extra money on this durable food slicer instead of buying another cheap one that will be thrown away in no time.
