I have the 3200MHz version. It works fine for my Ryzen 5 3600. It replaced my formed Patriot Steel series with the same speed. I originally got this as an upgrade for my son's computer but due to gap issues I had to install it on my computer and it made my RAM 3/8 inch shorter so it could get that speed upgrade. There is no particular difference between the Steel series and this particular one. Cas delay is equal to speed. Both cool well and I was concerned about this RAM because of the RGB, but they use a solid set of cooling plates while the Steel series only needed a thin set to dissipate heat. Since they accounted for that, I don't see any difference between them in heat or in speed. Actually, and I think it's silicon lottery, I've seen higher clock speeds in this RAM compared to my Steel series, but only 34Hz. I haven't seen any frame improvements or boot time or anything else, but it was side switch and RGB. I can't switch colors on my motherboard (GA-X370-Gaming-K7), but it's board related and not RAM related. My son's motherboard could manage RAM if I read/understood the manual correctly. All the colors look good, but the navy is dark enough to almost feel like it's missing, and when that color comes out, there's a lot of light falling off. I like the overall implementation of the lights as there is no other noticeable gap on the tops. The same cannot be said for all in-memory RGB implementations, especially at this price point. Speaking of prices, when I got this it was around 89 for 2x8Gb. It was a good price for RAM, a great price for RGB RAM. Now I can't say if it will stay that way, especially given some concerns about the proliferation of silicon chips at the moment, but it's still a very good price compared to the pre-scarcity price. , more would! But I don't need more than 16 at the moment, and neither does my son, but it will help others, and some report some performance improvements that I haven't been able to replicate, but that reflects my needs for my computer, not the extra RAM. .
