Incredible versatility

This is a simple, versatile device that can be used in many ways and helps mitigate that high price tag. This kettle is the best camp stove I've seen, specifically designed to heat up faster over a camp stove, which is especially valuable as you really don't want to waste fuel on a camping trip. This is a large kettle but it can only make 12 cups of coffee if you like small cups. If you're more into cups, it's probably closer to 4 servings. I'm actually the only coffee drinker on my tour team, but the rest like hot chocolate or tea, so that can be versatile. Boil a big pot of water and then I'll make some excellent coffee and they'll get the rest of the hot water for their drinks. I think it's a little awkward to use the small #4 filter to make a lot of coffee and it tends to make it weaker than I'd like, but if you fill it completely with very finely ground coffee you can you make some coffee. a strong drink for a couple of coffee drinkers. It's great for other storage purposes too. To use a strainer you'll have to move the holes and pour to the side, but that's less fiddly than I feared. It's actually quite simple, and it's very easy to cook pasta. Delicious, hot mac and cheese on the go! The investment opportunities are also excellent. Even though this is used more for RV or car camping (can't imagine lugging this set around on a camping trip), nesting is still important because my god this car fills up fast. Yes, you can get this setup closer to things you'll find at Goodwill, but I guarantee they won't fold, be as comfortable, heat up just as quickly, or be able to heat and strain in the same kettle. While you don't need to make a big cup of coffee when camping, you probably need to boil water, and this kettle is ideal for all your boiling water needs.

Pros
  • Convenient strainer with integrated lid makes it easy to drain foods such as pasta and rice.
Cons
  • There are nuances
