Beautiful, elegant, classy, efficient, reliable, decent buttons, positive customer service and experience

After using my Apple iPad 3 for several years, I have invested in a premium 12.9″ iPad Pro with maximum performance an Apple Pencil. I used to buy a decent iPad case for it, but no keyboard, and it didn't hold the Apple Pencil in place very well. So I took the time to explore the many keyboard options and settled on the Chesona Case for iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd Gen 2018. I love how well it fits the iPad and how well it snaps in place magnetically and the pencil stays securely in place even when walking around. I also see spots inside the lid where I could securely latch the pencil if I didn't want it magnetically attaching to the iPad and draining its battery. The main reason, why i bought this case was the keyboard, i wanted a backlit keyboard, so while the multicolored led lights don't make a huge difference, the fact that i can choose from a variety of backlight color combinations makes the keyboard cool and fun. The keyboard itself is high quality. Of course, it won't compete with my favorite silver-key keyboard from older MacBook Pros, but it does today Some MacBook Pro buttons aren't for everyone. I was concerned that the keyboard, which is INSIDE the cover, would rub and scratch the screen. So I first held the keyboard out of the case where the magnetic force was still strong enough to keep it from falling. Upon closer inspection, however, I found that the four tiny plastic "eyelets" at the top of the keyboard at the corners mitigate this risk. I believe that closing the case does not lock/turn off the iPad's screen. That's not a problem for me since my iPad is set to auto-lock anyway. But there is something you should be aware of. Full disclosure, this is my second purchase. I was traveling abroad with my MacBook Pro, Surface Pro, iPad Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, Note 8 etc. Unfortunately, when Boston Logan security took my belongings to be rescanned on the x-ray machine, the Chesona keyboard was lost at the airport when I forgot to put it in the suitcase. Do you think it costs $29 just to file a lost item claim at this airport? So I just decided to order a brand new Chesona setup. I would like to thank Chesona for working with me to offset the cost of a replacement, although it's not their fault I lost my first keyboard. This review was supposed to be written for the initial order, but I wanted to post it here with this disclosure. Please click to let me know that you found this review helpful.
