Should not be used for water but works very well for cooking or fizzy drinks as it seals well. The top is ridiculously difficult, mostly a decorative handle rather than an opening lever, fingers hurt to open. The handle should be designed to open the bottle, it is not. You have to use your fingertips like a key that has trouble with the lock and the tip turns red from the pressure. Maybe if you need fizzy drinks that's fine. I also licked through the holes, where is the handle, maybe it was broken? I returned it.
