Both the darling and the book are very small. The right size to take with you, but still small. The book is of decent quality - it will hold up to some abuse, but if your child is teething or likes to tear things, this won't work. It takes very long. The book doesn't have the spelling and punctuation issues that I've seen, and it reads fairly smoothly. The lettering is black and generally contrasts well, although some pages are black on a light gray or brown background, which may be distracting for some. The upholstery is fairly cheap, with loose fibers, and the legs are sewn on fairly loosely. It will not withstand strong pulling or tugging. I think the price is a little high for the quality of the product but overall a good choice if your kid is old enough to be gentle. PRC, meaning the People's Republic of China.
