I started with the 18-55mm, f4-5.6 IS STM Kit lens and it's a great lens, but for travel I wanted more coverage without going to 55mm having to switch. 250mm. It really is a better lens than any other. Possibly the same IQ but definitely a more reliable component and 67mm vs 58mm. If I had to do it again I would probably just take this lens and add something like 70-200 or even 100-400 for more coverage. After checking out the different stores to shop at, I went to Abe's E-Center. We have no regrets that we saved almost 50% by choosing the "white box". All photos were taken with an 18-135mm nano lens (from Observation Point Trail, Zion National Park).
