Review on 🧩 Puzzling Delight: Monkey Pod Games Puzzle Gift for Ultimate Brain Teasers by John Fuentes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A fun jigsaw puzzle set isn't a bad deal.

Great puzzles but only four stars because the Diamond Cube puzzle broke the first time I played it (one of the ends of the sliding blocks broke along with the wood fibers). I don't think it's due to a lack of craftsmanship, but rather the danger of making such small puzzles out of wood. The part is easily repaired with wood glue, but you have been informed. Each puzzle in the set measures (slightly smaller) 2" cubes (2" x 2" x 2") or 5cm cubes (5cm x 5cm x 5cm). The Puzzle DOES box comes with a cheat sheet to help you solve each puzzle. However, the cheat sheet is of quite poor quality so younger/beginners might have trouble solving the puzzles even with the cheat sheet. Puzzles are made of wood (some bamboo). The box is mostly made of wood, except the top and bottom are decorated with pressed cardboard. but please note they may differ from what Monkey Pod Games sells): 1. Diamond Dice: Take apart the dice pieces and put them back together. The puzzle stays together once assembled making it easy to work with.NOTE my diamond cube broke fairly easily, but the crack is easily repaired. Be careful with brittle ends as wood fibers break easily.2. Snake Cube: This is my personal favorite (I actually stumbled upon this puzzle set while looking for a new snake cube. Disassembling the cube is easy enough, but you can put it back together without looking at a cheat sheet (or YouTube). ) - The puzzle could be very complicated, but the instructions provided are very easy to follow. The wooden cubes are held together by a continuous cord. The cord is about the same gauge and gauge as a shoelace BROKEN (either the spike itself breaks or the string breaks off the mounts.) I got lucky with this snake cube: no problems after many, many tries by adults and kids. Star. Can be harder than it looks. Also one of my favorites. 4. Burr Puzzle: Can you find the secret of disassembling and reassembling this puzzle without help? Also a tricky puzzle. I was able to piece it together by closely observing how it is together (not sure if this is the case). considered fraud or not). would rate its difficulty 4 out of 5 (harder than the Star Cube but less difficult than the Serpent Cube). The instructions for this puzzle were pretty clear too. Sternschnuppe: That was the hardest puzzle in the box for me. To make matters worse, the instructions were unhelpful. I was able to get the thing back. I'd say it's a 5 out of 5 for difficulty.6. Soma Cube 3d - Large: This puzzle came in my box, not the Ball in Jail puzzle. This puzzle is rather lackluster and I would have preferred the Ball in Jail puzzle. The puzzle is pretty easy - let's say 2 out of 5 for difficulty. As you haphazardly connect the pieces together, you'll eventually find a solution - whether it's stacking the Soma Cube into an array or squeezing it into a cube shape. Conclusion: A good collection of puzzles. Decent craft. Not a bad deal for €20. Beware of quality problems and the possibility of receiving puzzles other than those shown in the pictures.
