Review on 🍳 Woll Diamond Lite Cookware Set: 10-Piece Premium Quality for Culinary Perfection by Karen Turner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Still cool. Repurchase after 9 years

Of course, almost every non-stick pan works initially. I've only had it a few months but I'm loving it so far. The non-stick coating works really well, seems to be quite resistant to metallic cookware, does not contain the PFOA chemical that binds the non-stick coating to the pan and cooks so well and evenly. For the price I give 4 out of 5 points. It's pretty cool for the price. A NOTICE. There are currently two updates. I was upset with one after over 2 years and another after 4 years, please read in full UPDATE: I'm reducing my rating from 4 to 2 after using this pan for almost 3 years. This pan is absolutely amazing, but then again, so is the $30 green pan. The promise of this wool pan was that even with cosmetic scratches and dents, the nonstick coating would retain its nonstick properties because it's bonded to the metal. Well I have to say that doesn't seem to be true. Every scratch and pit on the underside (which naturally builds up over 3 years of intensive use) becomes an anchor to which eggs, fish and just about anything soft will cling like it would cling to metal. Well, if I have to buy a pan every 2-3 years, I'd rather spend 30-40€ for a comparable green pan or Calphalon pan or another cheaper brand than 100-200€ for a premium pan like this. . I'm still ahead when it comes to price. I really regret writing this review as I loved how this pan cooked for the first year or so. It cooks so evenly and is so solidly made, but in the end the price plus the diminishing performance doesn't justify the very high asking price to me. Oh, also remember I had several different sizes of Woll Diamond. Pots and one of my small pans that I accidentally left on the hot stove without food for a minute or two while stirring something. It started to smoke and I immediately took it off the burner. Since then, the non-stick effect on this pan has been zero. So just a warning that overheating this pan once will completely destroy the non-stick properties. It was my fault so I can't blame Wall for that, but it needs to be thought about. If you notice that it no longer has a very good non-stick coating, and you may have overheated it at least once, that's probably why. UPDATE #2: I would like to return the 5 to him. After 2 years there were signs of use. Scratches and dents where some products stick a little. This was very frustrating for me at first (hence the update above) because I've gotten so used to the first year where you could put eggs, meat, plastic, car tires and pretty much anything in, fry without fat/oil and you will get out by simply knocking over the saucepan. Then after a few years of wearing it (multiple times a day) this ability went away and I was upset. But since then I've bought 3 more pans (kafalon, green porcelain pan and something else) and they've all failed me way worse than this one. After about a year, even the most expensive pan loses the non-stick quality of the infomercial, but Woll keeps most of it. It's been 4 years and this is still my easiest to clean, evenly cooked and most durable pan in the house, even if you can't replicate the non-stick coating that every pan has the first day out of the box. So much so that I decided to buy the whole set of OTHER pans damn it. Compared to other brands this pan has performed better than all others over time hence my upgrade to 5. So yes 4 years old and I love this pan almost as much as I did when I bought it. Update #3: I bought it in 2012. After 9 years I officially decommission it and get the same. It's still the most used pan in my house, but I had a kid who would leave it on the stove and blow the shit out of it. Now the non-stick coating is completely burned out. BTW I've continued to use it as a cast iron skillet, seasoning it and all to try and bring the nonstick back, but it's not the same at all. So the thing lasted 9 years for me and forced me to buy it again. Still standing after so many years!
