Wanted a phone for home use and home office and it's perfect. The sound quality is fantastic. The wired speakerphone base is great for the office and I have phones for home use. The speed dial on the base unit is great for frequent calls. The answering machine is easy to set up and use and works great. You can receive messages and turn them on and off remotely or from any of your phones. The speakerphone is very clear. I thought I would use the speakerphone occasionally, but I use it almost exclusively to make and receive calls. Everyone I asked said the quality on the other end is very clear. A previous reviewer recommended getting a longer cable for the base unit, and I'm glad I did because the cable that comes with it is quite short. Easy to set up. The user manual seems a bit cumbersome at first, but if you just focus on one thing, it's pretty easy. Phone numbers stored on the base station or handsets can be automatically transferred to all other phones at the push of a button. Another feature that I wasn't expecting but really liked is the fact that the phones also have speakerphone functionality, meaning you can hang up and keep talking! The phones have good range and I had no problems with interference, although one of the phones was next to a wireless router and a bunch of wireless devices. If you have a base station and handset that both turn on speakerphone, you need to keep a small distance between them or the base station will squeak. The base unit is a good size and stays in place despite not being that heavy. The mute, hold and speakerphone functions work great. Telephones have a headphone jack. One of the great features for me is that we often have power outages and this phone's base station continues to work even when the power goes out. You don't need a phone jack to connect phones, which is great as you can place it anywhere there is a jack. Call blocking features allow you to prevent selected calls from ringing your phone again! I will definitely use this on the next telemarketer who repeatedly calls me at home and refuses to leave a message! These phones can do almost anything. I love these phones.
