Review on πŸ”‹ Reliable Auto Meter BVA-300: Advanced Hand-Held Battery and Electrical System Micro-Processor Tester by Brian Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An easy to follow tester with an easy to follow guide. . . .

This Auto Meter Tester looks just like the one they use at the nearest auto parts store when they don't want to pull out a big test machine on a cart. The last time I used my car, when I had starting problems, battery tests showed that the battery was not sufficiently charged. Tired of the problems, I went to a new battery on the advice of a test worker; Just to keep in mind that shortly thereafter she didn't seem to have taken all the tests that the previous colleague had taken the year before when I was there. Of course, I soon had a dead car in the parking lot that wouldn't start until someone hit the starter with a hammer. I needed a new starter, not a new battery. If you have your own tester, you know for sure that everything is checked. The manual that comes with the kit is excellent, with lots of detailed easy to read instructions and lots of pictures. It also lists the causes of battery failure as well as visual checks to be performed before each test. The tester itself is very pleasant and tells you step by step in the tester window what you need to do and what it all means. It uses a 9 volt battery and has a nice rubber case. There is an optional Auto Meter PR-12 printer that you can purchase for this tester; However, if you are not in the store, you do not need to print out the test results. You can easily read the results on the tester's screen. Warranty "12 months from date of purchase - cable 90 days".
