Tests flooded, deep cycle, and AGM batteries with CCA range of 100-1600 - also detects discharged batteries, bad cells, and has built in reverse polarity protection. Unlike competitor models, Auto Meter testers only require a single technician to run a full electrical system test due to our on-board 40 amp True Load cell. This eliminates the need to apply inconsistent loads, such as headlights, fans, etc. which makes our products easier to use and more accurate. Automatically stores the last 100 tests in memory. 30" - 16 gauge leads with professional grade clamps that are easily field serviceable. Customer communication with optional PR-12 (external printer), PR-20 (bolt-on printer), or AC-12 (PC cable).

My first and ONLY disappointment was that this item had a .

My first and ONLY disappointment was that this item had the 'Made in China' label on both the case and the box. That distraction aside, the device is solidly built and easy to navigate through the built-in menus. I'm less impressed than expected with the good workmanship; where alligator clips are "heavy" and made of thicker material than expected. This tool also comes with a set of lead acid battery adapters that will fit almost any type of battery. (UPDATE Aug 2014 to Feb 2017) phenomenalโ€ฆ

An easy to follow tester with an easy to follow guide. . . .

This Auto Meter Tester looks just like the one they use at the nearest auto parts store when they don't want to pull out a big test machine on a cart. The last time I used my car, when I had starting problems, battery tests showed that the battery was not sufficiently charged. Tired of the problems, I went to a new battery on the advice of a test worker; Just to keep in mind that shortly thereafter she didn't seem to have taken all the tests that the previous colleague had taken the year before
