Functinal large trampoline for way less than related items

Overall I got a 14-foot trampoline for $300 that with easy to understand instructions that my children LOVE so the product gets 4 stars. My complaints about assembly probably directly relate to the cost to manufacture which filters down to my low price as a consumer. I am happy with what I bought and how much I paid.Pros: Great trampoline and quick/responsive customer service. One threaded component broke while assembling, and they quickly replaced it with an entire component set. I assembled the entire thing myself, and pinched myself once because I wasn't wearing gloves like the instructions recommend. This hurts. Go get your darn gloves. I did the legs in my garage one day so that the surprise Easter gift could be completed in the yard quickly another night. I would say 2 hours alone for assembling completed base with no net, another hour putting the poles on for the net, and another hour or two attaching the net. The basketball hoop is a legit no-nonsense heavy metal rim which surprised me in its quality.Cons: Everything about the net. Its up and it works but I have never purchased anything that was more of an annoyance to assemble. Hand "sewing" the net to the trampoline springs took over an hour. You get a bundle of separate ropes to tie together in a line while you go around the perimeter threading it through the net and springs. this may be the best way to get the strongest mate between the net and trampoline mat but its awful. Holes through net material aren't lined up so you need to rub between your fingers a bit for each hole to get the rope through. should be one long rope and holes should have metal or plastic eyelets so the holes are more manageable. Also the wings of the net attach to the basketball hoop plastic with one-time use wood screws which cancels out the quick release function on the basketball hoop pole. In wind you should be able to quickly remove the hoop, but if you attach the net to the hoop, you can take it off. the net should just have hooks for the basketball hoop.

Pros
  • Can be used for fun games like "popcorn" and "crack the egg
Cons
  • Suspension system can wear out over time, causing damage to the trampoline
