Stands are very easy to install (once you see how it's done). They seem very strong and stable but I think they could be stronger/tougher than OEM. I have a used car so I don't know what the pillars were originally, but now I need some force to close the sunroof. Still, it's better than a hatch falling on me regularly. Maybe the racks won't be as rigid anymore when they have time to settle down.
