Review on 🍡 Stylish and Functional: Le Creuset Stainless Steel Demi Tea Kettle, 1.25 qt. by Paul Curington

Compact design and just right

This kettle is a bit heavy though as it is welded to the bottom for use on the hob. But overall it offers a compact design for the chef who needs to take care of such things. It can be easily stored in the cupboard when not in use and does not take up much space due to the foldable handle and the size of the kettle. Reviews complaining about the water boiling away from the top should be ignored as no more than 1.2 liters of water should be poured in - an amount equal to the bottom edge where the spout touches the pan drum. If it's about half full, then it's working fine. A soft but slightly shrill whistle can be heard when you are in the next room. One aspect that's a little finicky is that it shouldn't be left with water for long periods of time - this is what I suspect causes potential rusting issues on the top and other places that are welded or attached together. But most kettles made today are just that, leaving the consumer with little choice. I've read a lot of kettles and reviews and this one offers a great solution for smaller kitchens.
