This gate is pretty easy to install provided you are willing to drill holes in the wall. The material looks high quality and holds my dogs well; I have two small dogs so they are not strong. Haven't seen how durable it is over the long term, but so far it's holding up well. I like that the gate stays out of the way when not in use and doesn't take up space like a metal gate when opened. Closing is a bit more difficult than a metal gate as you have to pull it and attach it to the latch mechanism rather than automatically like a metal gate. But since I only use it in the hallway, the auto-close function doesn't bother me. All in all, this is a very reliable gateway if you know what you're looking for.
