I live in the tropics; lots of work with horses and outdoors. I needed something to throw myself over the downpours that sometimes come quickly. This raincoat does not smell like plastic. Lightweight but more durable than many cheap ponchos. Mine has a few holes in it, but I work with horses and wire fences, so no wonder. The elastic band around my wrists is a bit tight but helps keep water out. The length is good too; in high rubber boots the feet are also almost dry. The hood works well, as do the zippers. Very happy with this purchase.
