Need a shallow dish for two types of scorpions (because they can drown). I usually like smooth ceramic dishes for most things, but scorpions slide and slide in them and I don't want to be constantly removing gravel from a smooth dish. more than I absolutely SHOULD lol. This utensil is rough, all Scorpios can easily climb and hold on to climb down and toward the water without falling or getting trapped. I just drip in some distilled water every morning, I don't need that either. deep.Highly recommended for scorpions and centipedes. I ordered another set for delivery today. I'll tell you right now, I wouldn't try to use it as food for live insects, it's very rough and mealworms/crickets can crawl out properly as can scorpions. I've had dishes with this texture before, but they seeped into the sand and didn't hold up in the water. As long as they hold water well! Raised, checked under them, the sand is dry.
