These knives would make a great addition to any kitchen. The ten-piece set includes a large fork, a large serrated knife and eight serrated steak knives. Steak knives look like butter knives with a sharper point, so use caution when storing them in a drawer where small children can reach. They are made of 18/0 stainless steel and are all one piece. All have a nice decorative dot pattern on the handles. They are light but not enough to be considered heavy in my opinion. The knives are sharp, can be washed in the dishwasher, do not need polishing, all pluses in my book. I recommend this carving set.
