What a beautiful Mikasa knife set. The vintage pearl design is beautiful. The carving knife and fork worked great on the little turkey we had for dinner a few days ago. Can't wait to use it with our big Thanksgiving turkey. The knives are ideal for steak, pork, turkey and chicken. They are solid knives and not flimsy, which bothered me. I've had knives that came in sets and they started falling apart at the base. I recommend this set and plan to look to Mikasa for matching items to purchase.

These knives would make a great addition to any kitchen. The ten-piece set includes a large fork, a large serrated knife and eight serrated steak knives. Steak knives look like butter knives with a sharper point, so use caution when storing them in a drawer where small children can reach. They are made of 18/0 stainless steel and are all one piece. I got to work right away. So far they have been used with roast duck and roast beef. Fork and carving knife are the perfect size. Everything has a nice weight and feel. I love that these knives don't have sticky plastic handles or brittle wooden handles. These knives are dishwasher safe. Hooray! Steak knives are not serrated but are sharp. Mikasa is a respected fine dining company. This set is very cool. They don't look like the typical black plastic-handled steak knives! Vintage Bead is a beautiful classic pattern. The set goes well with our unpatterned Lenox cookware. I love that they are dishwasher safe, but I recommend hand washing to be safe.
